Policies & Terms of Stay
At Velvet Recovery Home, our mission is to provide a calm, inclusive and clinically informed environment for individuals healing after surgery. Please review the following policies carefully — they are designed to protect your safety, and the well-being of every guest.
Velvet Recovery Home is a premium post-operative recovery service, offering a serene, supportive home environment for individuals healing after various types of surgery. While our staff includes licensed medical professionals, our services are intended to support comfort and recovery, and do not replace medical care or hospitalization.
Deposit & Payment Procedures
50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation
An additional $100 guest deposit during Introductory pricing ($150 guest deposit standard pricing) is required at the time of booking
Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Failure to pay results in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit
Reservations are only confirmed once payment is received and intake documents are completed
No payment reminders will be sent
Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit Card, cashier’s check, or bank transfer via secure payment site (no cash)
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Failure to pay results in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit
All deposits (including guest deposit) are non-refundable
Reschedules within 48 hours incur a fee 15% of total reservation
Reschedules more than 30 days prior may be made once and are valid for 1 year
If you are unable to have surgery on your surgery date for any reason, no refunds will be given; however we will honor your reservation for one year
No refunds for natural disasters or government travel restrictions; however we will honor your reservation for one year
No refunds or rescheduling for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival, no-shows, surgery delays, complications during surgery, or early check-outs
Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in time: 3:00 pm
Check-out time: 11:00 am
$75 fee applies for day-of-surgery check-in
Early check-in or late check-out: $50 per instance (must be preauthorized)
Meals
Notify us of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or vegan/vegetarian at time of booking
House Conduct & Damages
No harassment, verbal abuse, disruptive behavior, or refusal to follow staff direction
Clients must observe quiet hours: 9:00 pm — 8:00 am
No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or recreational drugs on property
Guests are financially responsible for any damages beyond normal wear
Room Location & Guest Policy
Shared room: 1-2 guests
Private room: 1-2 guests, may include private bath
No outside visitors allowed
Companions only allowed with private suite booking, at additional cost
Guest must remain on-site for the duration of their stay
Inclusive Environment
We welcome guests of all genders and identities. All services and spaces are designed for privacy and dignity
Photography & Media
No photos/videos in shared spaces without staff permission
Personal photos may be taken in private rooms
Medication & Care
All medications must be disclosed in advance
Clients manage their own medications
Staff may assist with reminders but do not administer IVs or medications
Medical Disclaimer
Velvet Recovery Home is not a medical facility. We do not provide clinical diagnosis, emergency care, or medication administration. In the event of a medical complication, we will contact emergency services and transport the client to the nearest hospital. Clients are responsible for following their surgeon’s instructions and for their own medical care.
Included Transportation
Flight information must be provided 2 weeks in advance
Includes: Surgery transport, one post-op appointment transport, and MCO airport pick-up/drop-off (7:00am — 7:00pm) or return to your destination
Alternate airport transport may be available on a case-by-case basis, with $100+ surcharge
We will not provide transport for massage, personal errands, or non-surgical purposes
General Conditions
Velvet Recovery Home is not liable for loss, injury, or damages related to third-party services or unforeseen circumstances (e.g. acts of God, civil disturbance). We may cancel reservations if errors occur or fraudulent activity is suspected. All terms are subject to change without notice,
Liability Statement
We do not provide medical procedures or diagnoses and are not affiliated with any surgical provider. We offer recovery support only. We are not responsible for the outcome of your procedure or complications associated with the recovery process. In case of an emergency, clients will be transported to the nearest hospital and their emergency contact provided will be contacted.
